It took me 2 years to get this beautiful scene down on paper and 18 to reopen the tin of etching ink I used! Once I'd managed to get under the skin that had formed on top the ink was, surprisingly, as ready to go as it was when new. Working with oil-based ink presents different challenges. As you'll see, I had a little problem with the paper sticking to the plate.
