I went for a walk with a photographer friend along the foreshore at Glebe, one of the many inlets in the magnificent Sydney Harbour. There were lots of people out walking, picnicing and generally enjoying the cool of the evening. The sun was setting, making silhouettes out of everything in front of me. The skyline was dominated by the the three giant ventilation towers above inner-western Sydney’s new WestConnex interchange. A web-like sculpted steel framework weaves and twists around them intriguingly -  an urban artwork by Chris Fox aimed at making the infrastructure more than just functional.
 
This work was selected for the 2024 Art @ The Rowers exhibition in Mosman in April 2024.
