I made the plate for this print by adding ink to the ghost plate of Keeping an Ear Out. You can watch a time-lapse video of that process: here

Keeping an Ear Out #1 is the same composition as Keeping an Ear Out but, as is the nature of monotypes, it's different. Keeping an Ear Out  won first prize in the printmaking section of the Ewart Art Prize 2022 at the Willoughby Arts Centre. Awarding the prize, David Van Nunen, President of the Australian Watercolour Institute, commented: "Very good contrast in using dark and light tones and…it’s just beautiful…a very nice and strong piece." 

Image size: 45.0cm x 65.0cm. Paper size: 45.0cm x 65.0cm. This is a bleed print i.e. there is no border as the image goes right to the edge of the paper. A professional framer will have no difficulty flattening it for float framing. The print is titled and signed on the back.
